OUR HISTORY

Cloud Nine.

From music to creating some of the most amazing cloud-based inventions of the last decade, we found our way to the board room and the data center.

#ZOOMINGTHROUGHTHECLOUDS

Stacks upon stacks.

It all began with NASA’s OpenStack project, which would not long thereafter be managed by Rackspace. It led us on a journey to simplify the cloud, inventing the concept of one-click cloud apps, virtual desktop infrastructure (Cloud Desktops™), quantum SDN and one of the coolest public cloud platforms (in our opinion) that has ever existed – to this day.

Although, we are a bit biased. Over those 4 years, it was one stack after another – we were deploying clouds like nobody else and teaching some pretty important companies how to scale to the masses.

THROUGH THE WIRES

2010-2014

Our journey through the clouds made us who we are today.

02-09-2010 - Maze Launches Cloud Platform
Maze launches a hosting platform, providing shared, VPS, cloud and dedicated hosting services to enterprise companies and law firms.
03-11-2011 - Invention Of One-Click Cloud Apps
In 2011, we created the first one-click installer for cloud-based applications. It was nominated for many web awards on the FWAs, Awwwards and other award platforms. Companies like Rackspace invited us to their headquarters just to get a sneak peek at our revolutionary technology.
04-12-2012 - Invention of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
In mid-2012, our team invented the first cloud-based VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) technology, allowing for companies to instantly launch Windows and Linux-based cloud desktops around the world. It was subsequently shutdown by Microsoft so that they could launch their own Azure-based VDI platform.
04-12-2012 - Invention of Quantum SDN
We became the first hosting company to offer virtual L2/L3 networks at the click of a button, ultimately inventing the first quantum-based software defined network, all powered on NASA’s open source OpenStack platform.

The book formally releases on April 1st, 2023, but you can pre-order by clicking the link below.
